Jérémie Lenoir
Carrière, Vendenheim, 2018
Some works don’t ask to be understood. They just stay with you—quietly, like a memory you didn’t expect to hold onto.
Carrière, Vendenheim by Jérémie Lenoir is one of those pieces. At first glance, it’s hard to place what you’re seeing. Aerial, abstract, precise—yet full of something more instinctive.
There’s no obvious narrative. No message. Just lines, surfaces, shifts in texture. What emerges is a feeling—of something once touched, now changed. A landscape shaped and reshaped, between nature and control.
We chose this work because it doesn’t need to explain itself. It lets you return when you’re ready.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in 1983, Jérémie Lenoir is graduated of the Polytechnique School of the University of Tours and of the Superior Art and Design School of Orléans. Without proper subject, without seeking an objective reproduction of a «true» landscape, Jérémie Lenoir’s photographs offer a sensitive travel through what Marc Augé called «non places». Deeply inspired by Dusseldorf Kunstakademie artists and expressionnist painters such as Rothko, Noland, Soulages or Malevitch, his work tries both a representation of reality and its transfiguration in paintings, attempting to give a new realism to our contemporary territories.
CURATOR´S NOTE
There’s something quietly compelling about Jérémie Lenoir’s work— a sense of observation without intrusion, of seeing without imposing. Carrière, Vendenheim is part of a limited edition series that invites the viewer to look differently. From above, the landscape becomes a composition: raw geometry, muted tones, subtle rhythm. It’s not a document of place, but a meditation on space— on transformation, on what remains when context is stripped away. This is the kind of work that reveals itself slowly over time. It doesn’t demand attention; it invites presence. For collectors, Lenoir’s photography offers something lasting: a balance of precision and emotion, of distance and intimacy. Editioned, timeless, and deeply considered— it’s a meaningful place to begin a collection or to quietly expand one.
